Garbage Collection

Islands' Cleanup

This annual cleanup event is organized for Gambier, Keats, Pasley and Thormanby Islands. Waste containers are barged to various locations at specific days and times to collect general garbage and recyclable metal. The SCRD maintains a contact list of participating island residents and circulates schedule information and event details once arrangements have been finalized.  The event typically occurs in the months of June or July each summer; however the final schedule is dependent on tides and weather conditions and may vary from year to year.

If you want to be added to our contact list, please contact the Infrastructure Services Department at 604.885.6806 or email info@scrd.ca.

Remember that flag stops need to register ahead of time with Dan Crosby @ 604-886-4600 or 604-250-1957 (Vancouver #) E-Mail: dan@crosbymarine.ca
