Planning an event and need a space? The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) operates five community halls that are available for rent.

To be eligible for the non-profit rate, please provide the society number for your organization. All hall reservations are subject to a $150 refundable damage deposit due at the time of booking.
Our Community Halls for Rent
Located at 1549 Ocean Beach Esplanade, Elphinstone
Chaster House is located on Ocean Beach Esplanade in Elphinstone. The hall is located on the waterfront with beach access. The hall and washroom are wheelchair accessible. Please note that the hall and grounds must be rented together, they are not rented separately.

- Kitchen with fridge and oven (please note there is no cooktop available)

Space:
Space at Chaster House is 55.2 square metres (594 square feet) in size. The hall capacity is 30 people for weddings and 60 people for meetings and seminars.

*The Bridge entrance is closed and the entrance has been relocated to the east of the property, by way of a gravel path
Located at 1224 Chaster Road, Elphinstone
Frank West Hall is located near Cedar Grove Elementary School in the Elphinstone area of the Sunshine Coast. The hall and washroom are wheelchair accessible.

Space:
Space at Frank West Hall 112.3 square metres (1,049 square feet) in size. The hall capacity is 85 people. A link to a floor plan for this hall can be found here.
Located at 930 Chamberlin Road, West Howe Sound
Eric Cardinall Hall is located near Gibsons in the West Howe Sound area. The hall and washroom are wheelchair accessible.

- Showers and change room

- 13 Tables and 60 Chairs

Space:
Space at Eric Cardinall Hall 79.7 square metres (858 square feet) in size. The hall capacity is 82 people while seated with 106 standing room only. The change rooms have a max capacity of 20 people. A link to a floor plan for this hall can be found here.
Located at 846 Church Road, Gibsons
Granthams Hall is located in Gibsons, close to Shirley Macey Park. The hall and washroom are wheelchair accessible.

Space:

February 2024 – Operation of Coopers Green Hall
The SCRD is requesting expressions of interest from parties for options to oversee the operation of Coopers Green Hall. Lots more information can be found here.
Located at 5500 Fisherman Road, Halfmoon Bay
Coopers Green Hall is located in the Redrooffs area of Halfmoon Bay. The hall is located on the waterfront with beach access. The hall and washroom are wheelchair accessible.
