CloseTrout lake is located along Highway 101 just as you enter the Halfmoon Bay area. The lake is popular for fishing, swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. There is also a picnic area located along the lakeside.
Trout Lake
Location
Access to Trout Lake is via Highway 101 to the first Trout Lake Road (second if you are coming from the northwest). Take the road in on the right with the yellow gate and follow it up to the parking area. There’s a short trail in to the lake where you’ll find an outhouse and picnic area.
Amenities
Fishing, picnic area, viewing platform. The lake has a short wheelchair accessible path to the fishing platform.
If you are planning to fish please ensure you first purchase a recreational freshwater fishing licence. Gas powered boats are not allowed on the lake.
