About the Library Program

Wildfires are becoming more common in the province, with many families affected each year. The library program aims to help educate young people about wildfire resiliency.

The program offers lots of of great information and resources including;

  • Resources to talk about wildfires
  • Information on wildfire preparedness
  • Books explaining how wildfires happen
  • Stories about community recovery after wildfires
  • Activities to explore feelings about wildfires

This program is offered to increase young peoples knowledge about wildfires, including recovery from wildfire events. In addition, the program provides a safe way to explore emotions and intends to build resilience.
